About us: Who is GBM Group? Well, you probably already know who we are, without realising it! GBM is a social-first creative powerhouse, that acts as both a publisher and an agency built for how young audiences actually consume content today: fast, native and culture-led. We have numerous pages including Great British Memes, That Girl Page, That Student Page and MORE, which across all social channels reach over 500 million every month. The vast majority of our social following also comes from within our home market - the UK. At GBM, we take pride in what we do and make sure the client's needs are met while considering the needs and wants of our nurtured communities/audiences. All campaigns have a lot of care and attention to detail with nothing going live unless the GBM team are 100% happy with everything.

The role: We’re looking for an organised, creative and proactive individual to support the delivery of high-impact content within our growing content team. In this role, you’ll support the development and rollout of content strategies, assist with freelance content creators, and help grow GBM's network of communities. You’ll work closely with the editorial team to deliver excellent content that resonates with audiences. Our ideal candidate has a background in content creation and page management, with a strong understanding of social media culture, trending topics, and repeatable formats. You will live for social, thrive in fast-paced environments, and know how to create content and support pages that connect with real audiences. You’ll work alongside the founder, editorial and creative team and freelancers to support the sourcing, delivery and promotion of content across the GBM pages. You’ll play a key role in bringing the pages to life, especially where extra hands and creative input is needed. You will support the management of pages across the GBM network, helping ensure consistent posting, assisting freelancers where needed, and stepping in to support content creation across our owned social channels. You should be comfortable planning, attending, and occasionally supporting shoots in public spaces with the team. This role is focused on producing engaging, relatable content, which may include working with retained clients, branded campaigns, and internal creative projects. You will work on supporting content workflows, assisting creative execution, and helping keep projects moving smoothly and efficiently. You’ll be expected to take initiative, support the wider team, and contribute to the overall success of our content output. This role is office-based at the London Bridge address and will require you to be in the office a minimum of 3 days per week, with the remaining 2 days working from home. As the business continues to grow, the number of office days may increase.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the Founder and Social Media & Editorial team in delivering engaging content across the GBM network
  • Assisting with the execution of content strategies and ensuring content is posted consistently across the network
  • Supporting our freelance content creators, helping to ensure content is delivered on time and meets quality standards
  • Identifying trends and reactive opportunities, and contributing ideas for content across channels
  • Actively posting on designated channels, which may include weekend posting when required
  • Assisting with the planning, attendance and execution of shoots, and supporting content creation and editing
  • Supporting the growth and performance of GBM pages across the network
  • Helping monitor page performance and flag any issues or opportunities to senior team members
  • Assisting in maintaining content calendars and ensuring consistent output across all platforms
  • Supporting the management and optimisation of existing pages, including identifying opportunities for new formats or content directions
  • Helping ensure all platforms and pages align with community guidelines and best practices
  • Supporting communication across the team to ensure smooth delivery of content
  • Assisting with reporting, including weekly channel updates and analytics tracking
  • Contributing ideas to expand content formats and improve overall network performance
  • Representing GBM positively when working with partners, contributors, and at industry events where applicable

This is not an exhaustive list and you may be required to undertake additional duties as needed.

What we’re looking for:

  • A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to go the extra mile
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with the GBM team
  • Good understanding of digital and social platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, YouTube, Reddit, Canva)
  • Experience in content creation and/or social media page management
  • Understanding of social media trends, formats, and audience behaviour
  • Ability to support content planning and execution across multiple platforms
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic analytical skills, with the ability to interpret performance data and apply learnings
  • Confident in front of the camera when needed
  • A proactive mindset, with the ability to take initiative and contribute ideas
  • A genuine interest in social media, content, and digital culture
  • A collaborative approach and willingness to support the wider team
  • Any experience in long form content is a bonus

What success looks like: Success in this role will be measured by your contribution to the growth and performance of GBM’s network, while maintaining a high standard of content output. You will play a key role in supporting the content team to drive growth, reach, and engagement across the network. Success will also be reflected in your ability to support smooth day-to-day operations, contribute creative ideas, and help ensure content is delivered consistently and effectively. The ideal candidate is proactive, reliable, and eager to learn. You stay on top of trends, understand what makes content resonate, and are confident in contributing ideas while supporting the wider team.
