Gourmet Burger Kitchen (GBK) is looking for a skilled Kitchen Team Leader to guide our kitchen operations, work closely with the Kitchen Manager and ensure every burger we serve is nothing short of perfection.
Responsibilities
- Help Run the Kitchen: Take the reins in the Kitchen Manager’s absence, ensuring everything runs smoothly, from prep to plating. You’ll be the go-to person for all things food-related.
- Lead by Example: Inspire and manage a team of chefs and kitchen staff, ensuring they’re motivated, well-trained, and delivering consistently high standards.
- Help Maintain Quality: Ensure every dish that leaves the kitchen meets GBK’s high standards for taste, presentation, and quality. You’ll be the guardian of our famous burgers!
- Help Manage Stock & Orders: Keep the kitchen stocked with the freshest ingredients, manage orders, and ensure cost efficiency without compromising on quality.
- Ensure Safety & Cleanliness: Uphold the highest standards of food hygiene and kitchen safety, making sure everything is spick and span and in line with health regulations.
Qualifications
- Experience: Proven experience in a kitchen management or head chef role, preferably in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team under pressure.
- Culinary Passion: A deep love for food and cooking, with a particular passion for creating gourmet burgers that wow our customers.
- Organisational Skills: Excellent organisational abilities to manage the kitchen’s operations, from stock control to team rotas.
- Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail to ensure every plate leaving the kitchen is perfect.
- Commitment to Safety: Strong knowledge of food hygiene and safety regulations, with a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.
