Gourmet Burger Kitchen (GBK) is looking for a skilled Kitchen Team Leader to guide our kitchen operations, work closely with the Kitchen Manager and ensure every burger we serve is nothing short of perfection.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Help Run the Kitchen:Take the reins in the Kitchen Managers absense, ensuring everything runs smoothly, from prep to plating. You’ll be the go‑to person for all things food-related.
- Lead by Example:Inspire and manage a team of chefs and kitchen staff, ensuring they’re motivated, well‑trained, and delivering consistently high standards.
- Help Maintain Quality:Ensure every dish that leaves the kitchen meets GBK’s high standards for taste, presentation, and quality. You’ll be the guardian of our famous burgers!
- Help Manage Stock & Orders:Keep the kitchen stocked with the freshest ingredients, manage orders, and ensure cost efficiency without compromising on quality.
- Ensure Safety & Cleanliness:Uphold the highest standards of food hygiene and kitchen safety, making sure everything is spick and span and in line with health regulations.
What You Bring:
- Experience:Proven experience in a kitchen management or head chef role, preferably in a fast‑paced restaurant environment.
- Leadership Skills:Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team under pressure.
- Culinary Passion:A deep love for food and cooking, with a particular passion for creating gourmet burgers that wow our customers.
- Organisational Skills:Excellent organisational abilities to manage the kitchen’s operations, from stock control to team rotas.
- Attention to Detail:A keen eye for detail to ensure every plate leaving the kitchen is perfect.
- Commitment to Safety:Strong knowledge of food hygiene and safety regulations, with a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.
