Location: Cambridge (UK)

We are looking to recruit a LAB AND AUTOMATION TECHNICIAN to join our Mimix production group. Working within an inclusive team environment, you will have the chance to gain experience and skills for a career in scientific labs. This is a varied role where you will be contributing to the smooth running of our Mimix labs which includes cell culture, molecular biology techniques, and ordering stock, all whilst learning about the exciting work we do at Revvity to support the development of personalised medicines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintaining cell lines in culture and preparing them for production workflows
  • Extracting DNA from cell pellets and FFPE sections
  • Cutting FFPE sections
  • Preparing labels and aliquots for final production batches
  • Carrying out tasks accurately, following methodologies, operating procedures, and recording all work to agreed company and departmental standards
  • Helping maintain a safe and efficient working environment, complying with company policies, and following instructions
  • Being an effective team member in supporting the group
  • Working with scientific and non‑scientific staff to enable smooth running of the labs
  • Contributing to additional activities within the team, as required

Essential Competencies & Requirements

  • Educated to at least A level or equivalent
  • An enthusiastic learner with a 'can‑do' attitude
  • A diligent nature with good attention to detail
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good time‑keeping skills and ability to work in a professional environment
  • Full training will be provided and we strongly encourage applications from conscientious, detail‑oriented and enthusiastic individuals
