About the Team

Privacy and Data Compliance Team The vision for our team is “to enable privacy and data compliance at pace”. This means helping GBG achieve its goals, whilst creating demonstrable privacy and data compliance with regulatory and/or licensing obligations. As a fast growing, global business, this team provides a challenging environment with days rarely the same. We continue to promote our key principles to ensure all team members “think privacy” upfront, helping to embed privacy and data compliance into operations.

The Role

You will manage enquiries from individuals and customers who are exercising their rights under data protection law, which includes asking what personal data we hold on them, why it has been processed and requesting use is withdrawn. It's important we manage their enquiry effectively, ensuring they have a good experience of GBG.

What you will do:

  • Manage inbound phone calls, emails and postal correspondence for the Privacy & Data Compliance Team.
  • Manage the GBG ‘Consumer Queries’ process which may include individuals exercising their Data Subject Rights.
  • Manage the ‘Jira’ Compliance Service Desk, which is an online queue for the Privacy & Compliance Team. You will allocate tasks based on the request/team member’s areas of responsibility.

Skills we’re looking for:

  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure, even when challenged by individuals, for example, some individuals phoning GBG may be frustrated.
  • Systematic, methodical and tenacious, with good attention to detail.
  • Accuracy in GBG’s response to individuals/customers is critical.
  • Ability to complete tasks on time and as expected.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work on own initiative.
  • Plans ahead and works in a systematic and organised way.
