IT Digital Delivery
The Digital Delivery team at GBG is at the heart of transforming how we work, powering the systems, data, and technology that enable our global business to grow, innovate, and serve our customers better. Weβre a collaborative, product-centric team of technologists, specialists, and problem-solvers who thrive on unlocking value through modern platforms like Salesforce, Dynamics, Power BI, and automation tools. Platform Manager – Salesforce
We are looking for a highly experienced and hands-on Salesforce Technical Team Leader to lead the design, development, and evolution of our Salesforce platform as part of a broader Digital Delivery strategy. This is a pivotal technical leadership role within our Centre of Excellence (CoE), covering platform governance, architecture, development, configuration, and integration across systems.
The successful candidate will combine deep Salesforce technical knowledge with strong solution design and leadership capabilities, enabling the platform to scale efficiently, deliver value to the business, and support CRM simplification and process automation goals.
What you will doTechnical Leadership & Architecture
- Serve as the technical authority and escalation point for the Salesforce platform (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Revenue Cloud, etc.).
- Define and maintain Salesforce architecture standards, development frameworks, and configuration governance.
- Lead technical design for integrations, automation, security models, and data flows.
- Define best practices, reusable components, and support frameworks for Salesforce.
- Evaluate Salesforce product roadmap and advise on strategic adoption of new features and releases.
Hands-On Development & Delivery
- Actively participate in platform configuration, Flow development, Apex code, LWC, and integration work.
- Lead the implementation of scalable, high-quality solutions that meet user and business needs.
- Ensure code quality through reviews, automated testing, and best practice patterns.
- Own technical debt remediation and platform optimisation roadmap.
Collaboration & Business Engagement
- Collaborate with Product Owners, BAs, Architects, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Partner with integration, data, and Systems teams to deliver cohesive end-to-end solutions.
- Act as Salesforce SME in cross-functional projects and governance forums.
- Liaise with Salesforce and delivery partners to optimise use of licensing, entitlements, and technical support.
CoE Enablement & Team Development
- Define and enforce platform governance, release management, and DevOps standards.
- Provide technical coaching and guidance to developers and analysts.
- Ensure effective resource planning and workload distribution across the team
- Report on team performance, system enhancements, and platform advancements to stakeholders
- Support the adoption of agile delivery practices and platform KPIs.
Skills we are looking for
- Proven experience delivering complex Salesforce implementations in an enterprise environment.
- Hands-on proficiency with Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Revenue Cloud.
- Strong development skills: Apex, LWC, SOQL, REST APIs, Salesforce DX, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Expertise in platform security, permission sets, profiles, and roles.
- Experience with Salesforce integration patterns (API/Middleware/ETL).
- Ability to lead a Salesforce team in a collaborative and technically mature environment.
- Salesforce Certifications: Platform Developer II, Application Architect, or System Architect.
- Experience with Revenue Cloud, CPQ or Experience Cloud.
- Familiarity with Agile frameworks and product-centric operating models.
- Prior experience consolidating multiple CRMs onto Salesforce.
