About the team and role

IT Digital Delivery

The Digital Delivery team at GBG is at the heart of transforming how we work, powering the systems, data, and technology that enable our global business to grow, innovate, and serve our customers better. We’re a collaborative, product-centric team of technologists, specialists, and problem-solvers who thrive on unlocking value through modern platforms like Salesforce, Dynamics, Power BI, and automation tools. With a culture grounded in agility, transparency, and continuous improvement, we work closely with our business partners to deliver impactful solutions that make a real difference.

The Salesforce Developer is a technical expert responsible for designing, developing, and implementing Salesforce platform solutions that meet complex business requirements. This role blends strong technical skills in declarative and programmatic development with a functional understanding of business needs to deliver high-quality, scalable CRM capabilities.

Working as part of the Salesforce Centre of Excellence (CoE), the role includes solution design, Apex and Lightning Web Component (LWC) development, integrations, and support for platform enhancements. The role collaborates with architects, product owners, and business stakeholders to ensure fit-for-purpose solutions are delivered efficiently, effectively, and with best practice at their core.

What you will do

  • Develop robust, scalable, and reusable components using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Visualforce.
  • Work with integration platforms and APIs to connect Salesforce with other enterprise systems.
  • Collaborate with technical leads and architects to implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
  • Contribute to the technical design of solutions based on business requirements and architectural standards.

Functional Analysis & Requirements Translation

  • Engage with business users to gather requirements, clarify needs, and map to Salesforce capabilities.
  • Document current and to-be functionality, recommending improvements aligned with platform features.
  • Assist in translating business requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Participate in solution design reviews and provide functional expertise to delivery teams.
  • Resolve support tickets and troubleshoot platform issues.
  • Monitor system usage and ensure data quality, user access control, and compliance.
  • Contribute to the management of platform backlog and release planning.
  • Support user training, testing, and the creation of documentation and user guides.

Skills we are looking for

  • Proven experience delivering complex Salesforce implementations in an enterprise environment.
  • Hands-on experience configuring and supporting Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, or Revenue Cloud.
  • Strong development skills: Apex, LWC, SOQL, REST APIs, Salesforce DX, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce platform capabilities including Flow, roles, permissions, reports, and dashboards.
  • Experience with Salesforce integration patterns (API/Middleware/ETL).
  • Ability to translate business needs into platform solutions with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and documentation skills.
  • Comfortable working in agile delivery teams and managing competing priorities.
  • Experience with Apex, SOQL, LWC, or Visualforce development.
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Gearset, Copado, or SFDX.
  • Experience working with Agile, product-centric delivery models, or CoEs.

What success looks like

  • High-quality, well-documented Salesforce solutions delivered iteratively.
  • Strong adoption and satisfaction from business users.
  • Clean, maintainable configurations and minimal technical debt.
  • Improved CRM processes and platform performance through ongoing enhancements.
