We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Enterprise Architect to lead the architectural vision and technology roadmap across the organisation. This role is critical in shaping scalable and future-proof enterprise systems aligned to business goals. The Enterprise Architect also leads the Architecture & Design Centre of Excellence (CoE), overseeing Solution Architecture and Process Improvement functions.

What you will do

  • Define and maintain the enterprise architecture strategy and target state aligned to business and technology objectives.
  • Lead the creation of capability maps, reference architectures, and technology roadmaps.
  • Ensure technology investments support scalability, interoperability, and reuse.
  • Govern architectural decisions across business systems, CRM, ERP, data, and integration platforms.
  • Lead and manage the Architecture & Design CoE, including a Solution Architect and Process Improvement Lead.
  • Set clear direction, priorities, and development plans for the CoE team.
  • Drive collaboration between architecture, delivery, and business stakeholders.
  • Promote the use of design thinking, systems thinking, and architecture best practices across teams.

Solution Design & Governance

  • Provide oversight and assurance of high-level solution designs, ensuring alignment to enterprise architecture.
  • Review and guide solution architects and delivery teams on integrations, security models, and platform usage.
  • Maintain the architecture review board (or equivalent), approving deviations and exceptions as necessary.
  • Own architecture governance frameworks and standards.

Collaboration & Strategic Partnership

  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, and business leaders to ensure solutions are aligned with organisational priorities.
  • Partner with IT security, data protection, and compliance teams to ensure platform integrity.
  • Act as the senior escalation point for complex data, reporting, or integration issues.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies, trends, and vendors to shape future technology direction.
  • Lead technology risk assessments and provide architecture input into business cases.
  • Represent the architecture function in strategic programmes and transformation initiatives.

Skills we are looking for

  • Significant experience in enterprise architecture roles within medium to large organisations.
  • Strong knowledge of application, integration, data, and security architecture.
  • Proven experience leading architecture teams or CoEs, and mentoring senior technical professionals.
  • Experience with CRM, ERP, data platforms, and cloud technologies (Microsoft and Salesforce preferred).
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills across technical and business domains.
  • Formal EA frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman) and architecture modelling tools (e.g., ArchiMate, Lucidchart).
  • Background in solution architecture, business analysis, or process improvement.
  • Experience with agile and product-centric delivery environments.
  • Experience delivering digital transformation or system consolidation programmes.

What Success Looks Like

  • A clear, aligned enterprise architecture strategy that informs digital priorities and investment decisions.
  • High-quality solution designs that reduce risk, improve interoperability, promote tech consolidation and support delivery velocity.
