About the team and role:
The role fits in the IT Services team within the global Technology function at GBG, working to ensure that GBG delivers a world-class experience for all our customers, suppliers, and team members globally.
The Jira Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining our Jira and Confluence Cloud SaaS solution, including license management, plugin management, researching and implementing new and innovative features, meeting the demand of both internal and external customers to ensure the Jira platforms provide the functionality required to facilitate their working practices.
What you will do:
- Manage the Jira and Confluence licensing including help to support decision making around renewals, feature support and plugin requirements.
- Be responsible for the requirements gathering, project planning and delivery of customer requests for changes, additions and the building of projects and service desks within Jira and Confluence.
- Ensuring access for both internal and external customers is managed securely and effectively following a least privileged access philosophy.
- Manage the additional plugins and associated stakeholders to ensure the plugins meet customer requirements and drive value for the business.
- Ensure projects are delivered to established deadlines and budgets.
- Lead on 3rd party application integrations with Jira and Confluence.
- Manage relationships with internal customers and key stakeholders, and facilitate communication across teams.
- Capacity management to ensure Jira and Confluence has sufficient licensing provision to meet GBG’s needs.
Skills we’re looking for:
- Proven experience in managing a 500+ users Jira cloud solution.
- Proven experience of working with ambiguity and change, with the ability to adapt plans once they are in flight.
- Experience with multiple Jira project types and associated workflows and screen configuration such as JSM service desks and software projects.
- Good working knowledge of script runner scripting and behaviours.
- Experience with JEMHC, EazyBI, SLA’s, time tracking and service desk extensions.
- Understanding of Atlassian billing portal and general license admin.
- Strong communication, influencing skills, organisation and time management skills.
