About the Role
We are seeking a Software Developer to join our software engineering team at our Farnborough facility. This is a hands‑on technical role where you will be part of a team of software engineers in the development of software products and solutions and conducting code reviews.
Key Responsibilities
- Working with a team of software engineers developing software, products and solutions and conducting code reviews.
- Ensuring the successful delivery of software activities on time and within scope.
- Participate in investigation activities and technology assessments.
- Promote a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the team.
- Participate in code reviews and architectural discussions to maintain code quality and best practices.
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and professional experience).
- Minimum 2+ years of relevant work experience in software engineering and development.
- Experience of C/C++ programming with hands‑on experience in production environments.
- Experience of Linux operating systems.
- Experience of Python programming with experience in real-world projects.
- Knowledge of software development methodologies and best practices (e.g., Agile, Scrum, CI/CD).
- Awareness of the principles of version control systems.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- A willingness to develop new technical skills.
Desirable Qualifications
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Awareness of software architecture and design patterns.
- Awareness of secure coding principles.

- Minimum 5 years' UK residency
