This role leads global sourcing for Diagnostic and Life Science instrument commodities, partnering with manufacturing, R&D, and business leaders.
You will provide strategic sourcing expertise for daily operations and product roadmap planning, with a focus on OEM components, PCs, and fluidics.
You will develop a global supplier network, drive productivity and cost initiatives, and strengthen supply chain resilience.
The role requires strong supplier management experience in OEM and manufacturing environments, along with the ability to influence stakeholders and challenge existing processes to accelerate innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute procurement strategies, processes, and policies
- Drive cost savings through Total Cost of Ownership and supplier negotiations
- Ensure supply chain resilience and continuity
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard key global suppliers
- Lead risk and contract management, including dual sourcing strategies
- Manage supplier performance through KPIs and regular business reviews
- Support new product introduction from development to full-scale production
- Partner with R&D and manufacturing on innovation and sourcing strategy
- Drive process improvements, insourcing, and supply chain optimization
- Analyze spend data to identify cost and efficiency opportunities
- Maintain technical understanding of fluidics and supplier capabilities
- Ensure compliance with safety, ISO, and regulatory standards
- Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field
- 3+ years of OEM sourcing experience
- 3+ years in a biotech or medtech environment
