Transport Supervisor at GBA Logistics — Warrington. Location: Warrington | Full-time (4 on 4 off rolling shift pattern, Days) | Salary: £34,900 – £37,000

The Role

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Transport Supervisor to oversee the daily transport operations across three sites on a 4 on 4 off rota. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth, efficient, and compliant running of our logistics function, with a strong focus on planning, leadership, and communication.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan transport operations for the upcoming 48 hours across three operational sites, ensuring resources are effectively allocated.
  • Supervise and support the Transport Coordinator and a team of HGV drivers. Oversee driver activities including start times, job allocation, and end-of-day debriefs.
  • Manage drivers’ annual leave schedules. Conduct return-to-work interviews and welfare meetings. Handle disciplinary matters and assist in investigations where required.
  • Track vehicle progress throughout the day using telematics/GPS. Proactively update customers on any delays or delivery issues.
  • Ensure the TMS (Transport Management System) is updated in real-time with accurate job information. Maintain high standards of compliance with transport legislation and company policies.
  • Quickly respond to operational issues, delays, or disruptions.
  • Make informed decisions to ensure continuity of service.

About You

  • Confidence with IT Systems including Outlook and Excel
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a transport or logistics environment
  • Understanding of UK/EU driving hours laws and restrictions
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong multi-site planning and coordination skills
  • Resilient, calm under pressure, and confident in autonomous decision-making
