GBA Global Solutions provides 24/7/365 UK national and global coverage from two main control centres and two hubs, focussed on domestic and European aerospace & airside logistics services (branded as ‘GBA Skyway’), and global forwarding.
GBA Global Solutions is part of the GBA Logistics group, which has been delivering logistics solutions since 1987 and are a leading family-owned logistics company, operating in the top 50 Logistics Companies in the UK with annual turnover in excess of £100m.
Key Responsibilities
- As part of the Out of hours (OOH) operations team manage and maintain Live and New Jobs for all Global solutions Products and departments.
- Initiate & co-ordinate transport bookings both on our internal fleet and external approved subcontractors and agents
- To provide timely and proactive updates on all movements directly to our customers
- Liaising with customers, partners, shipping lines and carriers to ensure smooth operations for all parties
- General Administration
- Maintaining Aviation Security protocols and a safe working environment at all times
- Working with Depot Team leaders and Driver teams across the UK to service Customer Requirements and maintain our transport network
About You
- Ability to work within a small team and work on own initiative essential
- 2 years Previous transport planning or logistics experience
- The ability to prioritise and organise own workload to tight deadlines.
- Excellent customer service skills
- Full, UK Driving License with less than 6 points.
- 5 Year checkable employment history (no gaps in employment above 28 consecutive days)
- Right to work in UK & no disqualifying convictions for working airside
