Different days within a 5 on, 2 off pattern are available, as well as regular overtime.

Key Responsibilities for HGV Class 1 Driver

  • Conduct daily vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness
  • Ensure safe and secure loading with correct load restraint
  • Comply with traffic laws, Working Time Directive and tachograph regulations
  • Drive safely and fuel-efficiently
  • Complete regular walk-around inspections
  • Deliver excellent customer service at every touchpoint
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness and professional presentation

About You

We're looking for someone who brings:

  • HGV/LGV licence - Class 1
  • Valid driver card
  • Valid CPC card
  • Minimum 3 months experience in general haulage work and 6 months UK Class 1 driving experience
  • A customer friendly manner and a positive can-do attitude
  • The ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
  • A solid understanding of tachograph rules and working time directive and valid CPC and digital tachograph card.
  • The right to work in the UK
  • No DD or DR offences
  • No more than 3 points on your licence
