As a Specification Technologist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accurate and compliant management of raw material and finished product specifications. This includes supporting the delivery of safe, legal, and high‑quality products to our customers. You will liaise closely with internal departments (NPD, Quality, Procurement, Regulatory) and external suppliers to manage technical documentation, ingredient declarations, and customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create, maintain, and review finished product specifications for food ingredients and seasoning blends.
  • Liaise with suppliers to gather and validate raw material specifications, certificates, and technical data.
  • Ensure all specifications meet regulatory, customer, and internal standards (e.g. allergens, nutrition, labelling, GFSI).
  • Complete and submit customer specification forms and portals, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Support the launch of new products through accurate specification input and compliance checks.
  • Maintain specification management systems and ensure timely updates of documentation.
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance, NPD, and Procurement to address non‑conformances or specification gaps.
  • Assist with compliance to food safety certifications (e.g. BRCGS, SQMS, Halal, Kosher).
  • Support continuous improvement of the specifications process and data quality.
