Who are we looking for?
- CIPD Level 5 in HR or related field.
- Proven experience as an HR Business Partner, ideally within the food manufacturing or FMCG sector.
- Experience of working with high degree of confidentiality.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Proficient in HR systems (e.g. Workday, Cascade, Power BI) and Microsoft Office.
- Experience of HR projects and change management.
- Coaching or mentoring experience.
- Willing to suggest and explore ways of improving existing processes and systems.
- Regular to travel to Atlas House - Biggleswade 2-3 times per month to support our other offices.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic & Operational Partnering: Partner with business leaders and managers to develop and implement HR strategies that support organisational goals. Align people strategies with commercial objectives to drive business performance and engagement.
- Employee Relations & Compliance: Provide expert guidance on employee relations issues including performance management, grievance, disciplinary, and sickness absence. Ensure HR compliance with UK employment law, internal policies, and food industry regulations. Support internal and external audits by maintaining robust documentation and processes.
- Talent & Performance Management: Lead succession planning and talent review processes to ensure workforce stability and secure future leadership capability. Drive the performance management cycle and support managers with capability development.
- Recruitment & Retention: Oversee recruitment processes to attract, select and retain top talent across all levels. Implement initiatives to reduce turnover and enhance employee retention, particularly in operational teams.
- Learning, Development & Culture: Identify training needs and implement learning pathways. Champion DE&I and wellbeing to build an inclusive, safe, supportive and resilient culture.
- Change Management: Provide HR leadership in organisational change initiatives, restructures, and continuous improvement projects. Coach managers through change processes with a focus on communication and employee engagement.
- HR Data & Analytics: Analyse HR metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities. Present data-driven insights to influence workforce planning and decision-making.
Candidate Profile
