Key Responsibilities
- Close of years trading, balancing of ledgers, WIP and production of annual Statutory Accounts
- Liaise with external Auditors and Tax consultants
- Preparation and review of financial reports including month end reporting packs to deadlines
- Preparation and submission of statutory VAT returns
- Generation of analytical reports comparing actual performance versus planned, recommending actions to improve
- Implement process change to add value to core processes
Candidate Profile
- Part‑Qualified member of an accounting body (ACCA/CIMA)
- Moderate/Advanced Excel skills (VLookups, Pivot Tables, basic macros) which can be further developed
- Able to work with and analyse large amounts of data within Excel/other analytical tools
- Knowledge of all finance functions (purchase ledger, sales ledger, general ledger)
- Experience of an ERP system (e.g. Sage 200), preferably within a manufacturing environment
- Full knowledge of the Financial processes which impact on the accounts
