We are seeking a talented individual to join our Human Resources team at Marsh. This role will be based in London and is a hybrid role that requires working at least three days a week in the office.

An exciting opportunity to join the Marsh UK HR Regional Advisor team as an HR Manager on a fixed-term contract for 12 months. Under the guidance of the Lead HR Manager, the HR Manager is aligned to a specific group of People Managers from various businesses and functions across Marsh.

You will provide day-to-day advice across all aspects of the colleague lifecycle and be key to the deployment and adoption of new processes or initiatives aimed at People Managers.

We will count on you to:

  • Provide guidance and support to People Managers across the full range of activities in the HR portfolio, including:
  • Employee relations matters including investigations, performance improvement processes, disciplinary actions, grievances, appeals, etc.
  • Colleague performance management, skills and competence development, and learning.
  • Communications, change management, and organisational effectiveness.
  • Compensation, benefits, and total rewards, including coaching People Managers on performance and reward discussions during the year-end process.
  • Wellbeing, including managing local delivery of wellness-related programmes.
  • Leave, absence, and related topics, coordinating with the workforce administration team for return-to-work accommodations.
  • Inclusion and diversity awareness and considerations.
  • Career development including succession planning and internal mobility.
  • Support and, when required, take the lead in the rollout and delivery of HR programmes in-region and contribute to process improvements.
  • During organisational restructuring activities, coordinate necessary activity to support People Managers and affected colleagues.
  • Ensure that regulatory and statutory obligations are discharged locally.
  • Coordinate with the Global Mobility COE to oversee delivery of all mobility activity.
  • Support peers and less experienced HR Managers to ensure consistent and high-quality service across all locations.
  • What you need to have:

    • Significant relevant experience in HR alongside suitable qualifications.
    • Experience in managing complex employee relations cases from start to finish.
    • Demonstrated ability to coach People Managers effectively through all aspects of the employee life cycle.
    • Ability to identify opportunities for improvements and implement change.
    • Thorough understanding of local employment laws, regulations, and HR processes.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with colleagues.
