Our Client Support Services department have an opportunity for a Fiduciary Technician, Legacy Resolution with our Fiduciary Team.
This is available on a hybrid basis, offering home working for 2 days, with the other 3 days based in our office in Witham.
Responsibilities
As a Fiduciary Technician, you will have responsibility for managing complex reinsurance accounts, legacy matters, and accounting settlement duties.
You will combine transactional processing with investigative work and issue resolution, supporting both routine and highly complex client portfolios.

- Work with Reinsurance professionals across Witham and London with extensive experience and technical knowledge
- Gain significant experience working in a technical capacity for a global reinsurance broker
- Take responsibility for own workload with a high degree of autonomy on routine matters, escalating complex issues appropriately
- Shape and develop your role within a newly established team, enhancing processes and protocols
- Apply expertise across end-to-end client portfolio management, from transactional processing through to legacy matter resolution
- Partner with Operations Specialists on root cause analysis and process improvement initiatives
- Core Technical & Transactional Responsibilities
- Manage any assigned legacy processing, taking full responsibility of technical duties relating to legacy accounts.
- Work with Market Fiduciary to assist with collection of funds.
- Manage brokerage receivables, funding, retention, cash, ad hoc reporting requests, and all transactional process steps.
- Process premiums, loss transactions and associated cash follow-up; application and disbursement of funds due.
- Secure reinsurance recoveries and collateral through timely and accurate system entry of all assigned client activity.
- Investigation & Resolution Responsibilities
- Maintain a strong focus on the resolution of aged and complex matters for clients and CSS.
- Take management of the most complex client base, which includes unique lines of business, program structures and reinsurance reporting requirements.
- Develop and maintain clear working papers supporting investigative work undertaken and methodologies used to support conclusions.
- Ensure clear audit trail in relation to work undertaken, especially for complex and historic matters.
- Support utilization of reserves and application of Guy Carpenter credit write back policy.
- Take responsibility for own workload including case definition and associated issue identification.
What you need to have
- Insurance/Reinsurance Premium/Claims experience or track record of successful client account management and relationship management.
- Knowledge of Reinsurance concepts and principles, laws, and regulatory requirements (e. g., FSA).
- Competent Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications.
- Willingness to learn and develop knowledge of technical account structure and complex matter investigation.
- Successful management of workload with ability to manage expectations of clients and all stakeholders.
- Significant experience of Insurance or Reinsurance accounting and settlement activities.
