We are looking for a motivated Reinsurance Broker to join our team, working with public sector clients and non-governmental organisations (NGOs). In this role, you will use your knowledge of insurance and reinsurance markets to help develop placement solutions that meet client needs. You will support the implementation of placement strategies to help grow the business and provide excellent service to our clients. Building strong relationships with insurance markets, clients, carriers, and underwriters will be key to your success. Your work will contribute to managing risks and insurance programs across Latin America and the Caribbean.
We will count on you to:
- Use your understanding of risk and the insurance industry to help create placement solutions tailored to client needs.
- Support the placement strategy to help achieve growth targets and deliver great client service.
- Assist in developing go-to-market approaches and explain the value of the placement function.
- Help prepare coverage submissions and obtain quotes from carriers using the assist, advise, and assume transaction model.
- Bind coverage and ensure placement binders are accurate.
- Build and maintain good working relationships with practice groups, insurance markets, clients, carriers, and underwriters to provide seamless client service.
- Keep clients informed about changes in insurance and risk management markets that may affect their coverage.
- Work closely with client teams to support client retention and new business opportunities.
- Support placement and technical activities on assigned accounts, including ensuring compliance, reviewing data, updating renewal documents, and maintaining accurate records.
- Communicate clearly with management about client issues or trends and help develop solutions.
- Use your analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate projects and create tailored solutions through data research and analysis.
- Communicate effectively with clients, government officials, reinsurers, and other stakeholders.
- Manage projects efficiently to help coordinate and deliver initiatives on time.
What you need to have:
- Proficiency in both Spanish and English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience working in insurance or reinsurance, ideally with some exposure to the public sector.
- Experience working with data analysis, optimisation exercises, and report preparation.
- Familiarity with parametric insurance solutions, especially in Latin America and the Caribbean, is a plus.
- Strong commercial awareness, strategic thinking, relationship-building skills, and adaptability.
