Teaching Assistants and SEN Teaching Assistants Needed
Are you a caring, patient and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant looking for your next role in education? GB Recruitment is looking for Mainstream Teaching Assistants and SEN Teaching Assistants to support schools across Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire and the surrounding areas.
We offer flexible day-to-day, short-term and long-term opportunities in, primary, secondary and specialist settings.
The Teaching Assistant role is a diverse yet rewarding one, you may support the class teacher with learning activities, small-group work, literacy and numeracy, offer behaviour support and classroom routines. Furthermore, working within an SEN role, you may work one-to-one or with small groups, supporting pupils with needs such as autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, SEMH needs, learning difficulties or physical needs. What We Are Looking For
- A positive, caring and patient approach.
- Good communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships.
- Confidence working as part of a team and following teacher or SENCO guidance.
- A flexible, reliable and professional attitude.
- For some SEN roles, willingness to support personal care, mobility or communication needs.
- A Level 2 or Level 3 education qualification is desirable.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
