Overview

Long-Term HLTA Role – Staffordshire.

Full-time role for the full academic year, starting in September.

GB Recruitment are supporting a Staffordshire primary school to recruit a committed and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant for a long-term, full-time role, across the school.

The successful candidate will work across Reception to Year 6, supporting learning throughout the school and leading targeted interventions to help pupils make strong progress.

Responsibilities

  • Work across Reception to Year 6, supporting pupils and staff throughout the school.
  • Lead planned class cover across all year groups, including PPA cover, using resources and planning provided by the school.
  • Deliver targeted interventions to support pupil progress.
  • Support morning Literacy and Numeracy sessions.
  • Deliver French and PSHE sessions using provided schemes of work.
  • Promote positive behaviour, confidence, and engagement in learning.
  • Work closely with teachers and school leaders to ensure continuity and consistency for pupils.
  • Ideal Candidate / Qualifications
  • Must be a Level 5 or Level 6 Teaching Assistant or hold HLTA status.
  • Previous experience in an HLTA role is desirable but not essential.
  • Confidence delivering lessons and interventions across primary year groups.
  • A positive, proactive, and flexible approach.
  • Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and supporting every child to achieve their best.
