Pay Rate: £40,000.00 up to £41,000.00 depending on experience.

Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)

Shift patterns: Monday to Friday

Working Hours Location: Daventry (main site-based mostly here) and Lutterworth (satellite site).

Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for the delivery of all aspects of fleet compliance ensuring the transport management team in Lutterworth have timely and accurate data.
  • Responsible for compliance with internal and regulatory processes.
  • Responsible for driver and fleet legal compliance in accordance with DHL Asset Management Centre of Excellence standards.
  • Supporting the achievement of all operational & financial KPI's.
  • To schedule, prepare and conduct quarterly 1-2-1's with all direct reports in line with OMS guidelines (if only OMS in currently on site).
  • Fostering an environment that promotes a culture of Continuous Improvement, sharing of ideas and best practice to the benefit of the network.
  • Manage Driver performance/behaviours through Telematics to identify any major discrepancies and manage through the appropriate processes.
  • Ensure EOS action plans are updated and actions followed through.
  • Responsible for Driver Training Team and ensuring DDA population are engaged, motivated and are targeting continuous improvement on driver performance.
  • Manage operational costs and identification of cost performance trends - i.e. driver performance/accidents etc.
  • Manage disciplinary and grievance in accordance with Company Policy and Procedures.

  • Logistics Industry and supervisory level experience.
  • Transport Office experience.
  • Line management capabilities.
  • H&S compliance.
  • Proactive and dynamic Supervisory skills - managing individual performance/absenteeism/conflict and development.
  • DHL Operator Licence Awareness (available by DHL training) - (Essential).
  • Transport Certificate of Professional Competence (Desirable).
  • HGV C+E desirable, with advanced training accreditation desirable; DDA Assessor, Smiths Training etc.
