WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?
As part of your normal duties, whilst maintaining excellent health and safety practices, you will:
- Carry out, but not limited to, the training of drivers both FTE, covering Class 1, 2 and vans, & Agency including driving assessments, development indicators, licence checks and highway code test
- Conduct induction, performing 2 day driver inductions for all new starters
- Delivering Smith System Initial training to all LGV drivers and company car drivers
- Organising and booking of drivers CPC periodic training, delivering CPC modules and generating revenue where applicable
- Supporting tachograph infringements, reviewing and retraining drivers with regards to driver hours infringements
- Carrying out gatehouse & yard audits, responsible for performing 10% yard/gatehouse exit vehicle and driver checks
- Microlise training and admin, performing weekly conversations to action improvement areas
- Carrying out Delivery Safety Orders, prompting safety conversations and identifying training needs
