We are currently recruiting for a Transport Clerk to join a fast‑paced and dynamic transport operation. This role plays a key part in ensuring the safe, legal, and efficient running of our transport function, supporting the Duty FLM and Transport Manager with all administrative and operational requirements.
Responsibilities
- Support First Line Managers (FLMs) with accurate and timely briefing and debriefing of drivers.
- Ensure Health & Safety compliance, promoting and maintaining the highest standards across operations.
- Prepare and reconcile delivery paperwork, including Proofs of Delivery (PODs).
- Manage Tachomaster administration and reporting.
- Support DHL training processes and licence checking.
- Ensure vehicle history files are maintained and up to date.
- Provide general administration support for both the fleet and driver teams.
Qualifications
- Previous experience within a transport or logistics environment desirable.
- Highly organised, with strong attention to detail.
- Computer literate, confident using systems and transport software.
- A proactive team player with good communication skills.
- Ambitious and motivated.
- Friendly and able to build a good rapport with drivers.
