Think you know DHL? Think again! We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Account Development Manager to join our Consumer and Convenience team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies that drive customer engagement and maximise mutual benefits. You will work closely with our customers to create tailored account plans that incorporate new products, sustainability initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Develop a comprehensive strategy for the customer lifecycle, leading planning and engagement efforts to ensure long-term success.
- Translate customer strategy into actionable account plans that highlight opportunities for mutual benefit, including new products and sustainability initiatives.
- Build and maintain an extensive network of coaching relationships within the customer's organisation, gaining access to decision-makers and effectively promoting the value of our services.
- Balance the needs of the customer with operational requirements by facilitating collaborative solutions, managing, and resolving potential conflicts that may arise.
- Act as the key contact for the Global Account Manager (GAM), supporting two-way communication and driving meaningful engagement in both directions.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- Proven sales or Account Development experience.
- Passion for sales and developing the DHL offering to customers.
- Self-motivated and able to manage multiple stakeholders effectively, including conflict resolution and problem-solving.
- Negotiation skills and Commercial experience.
- Understanding of the Bid and tender processes β desirable.
- Preferred background in Consumer and Convenience logistics or DSC experience.
