We’re now looking for a Transport Manager to take the helm of our daily transport operations and drive excellence across our network.
Responsibilities
- Assist management by coordinating and generating shipping requirements for distribution routes, from warehouse to end‑user, maintaining precise and up‑to‑date reports.
- Develop and innovate contracts to achieve cost reduction and forward thinking.
- Ensure drivers meet legal standards to achieve planned deliveries.
- Set standards and processes with staff and ensure they are maintained.
- Communicate with customers, conduct regular reviews, and produce KPI reports.
- Engage with service locations to maintain fleet.
- Maintain service schedule and control standards and repair costs.
- Take health and safety responsibility for the operation.
Qualifications & Experience
- Must hold an O Licence on site (Essential).
- Must have a Transport Manager International CPC qualification (Essential).
- Experience with vehicle tracking and driver performance.
- Experience recruiting, training, counselling, and disciplining staff.
- Practical experience as a Transport Manager/Supervisor.
- Comprehensive knowledge of supply chain practices.
- Computer literate with practical knowledge of logistics software packages.
- Excellent organisational and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to supervise, organise and train direct reports.
