A role covering HMP Risley (WA3 6BP) and HMP Liverpool (L9 3DF).
Pay Rate: £13.72 per hour (£11,775.50 per annum).
Contract: Permanent – 16.5 hours per week.
Shift patterns: Thursdays 13:00–17:00 at Risley, Fridays 13:00–17:00 at Risley, Saturdays 08:00–17:00 at Liverpool. You must be able to cover both sites.
The role is based within a prison requiring enhanced security vetting. We manage the picking, packing and distribution of inmate orders for basic goods. The order distributor plays an integral role in the prisoners’ lives and works with a diverse team to support rehabilitation.
Responsibilities- Work on the prison wing and distribute orders accurately and on time to each inmate.
- Load and unload vehicles when orders arrive at the prison.
- Comply with prison rules and regulations.
- Provide three years of UK address history (mandatory for enhanced security clearance).
- Comfortable working in a prison environment alongside inmates.
- Able to handle manual work and regular heavy lifting.
- Good communication skills.
- Own transport to commute between both locations.
