Pay Rate: £27,496.46. Grade: RCS O. Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time). Shift patterns: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday with flexibility for occasional weekends. Location: HM Prison Garth, Preston, PR26 8NE. The role is based within a prison and requires an enhanced security vetting process. We manage picking, packing and distribution of orders placed by inmates. No two days on our HMPPS contract are the same. As a Warehouse Team Leader, you will play an integral role in the prisoners' lives, working with a diverse team to support their rehabilitation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a group of prisoners in a warehouse environment while being hands-on with picking and packing.
  • Reconcile stock levels within the warehouse operation.
  • Manage the delivery of accurate and timely dispatch of orders to the inmates.
  • Ensure operational targets are met and exceeded.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Current three-year UK address history (mandatory for enhanced security clearance).
  • Ability to work in a prison environment alongside inmates.
  • Good understanding of warehouse processes (desirable, full training provided).
  • Good communication skills across all levels.
