Shift patterns: Monday to Friday – 45 hours a week – 9 hour shifts
Location: Hatfield, AL10 9TR
The role is based within a prison; enhanced security vetting is required.
Responsibilities:- Deliver palletised canteen supplies, ambient, chilled and frozen food into the prison services.
- Push and pull dollies up to 200 kg.
- Make around 3–4 drops per day, depending on the route assigned.
- Perform manual handling of customer products.
- Drive safely and efficiently in line with Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations.
- Comply with health and safety standards and the Highway Code, road safety rules and vehicle regulations.
- Carry out regular vehicle checks.
- Three years of UK address history (mandatory for enhanced security clearance).
- Comfortable working in a prison environment alongside inmates.
- Able to perform manual handling and regular heavy lifting.
- Hold a valid HGV Class 2 Driving Licence (C), Driver CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph Card.
- 12 months of recent HGV driving experience.
