Pay Rate: £39,028.14

Grade: RCS P

Contract: Permanent (Full-Time)

Shift patterns: Monday to Friday – 45 hours a week – 9 hour shifts

Location: Hatfield, AL10 9TR

The role is based within a prison; enhanced security vetting is required.

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver palletised canteen supplies, ambient, chilled and frozen food into the prison services.
  • Push and pull dollies up to 200 kg.
  • Make around 3–4 drops per day, depending on the route assigned.
  • Perform manual handling of customer products.
  • Drive safely and efficiently in line with Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations.
  • Comply with health and safety standards and the Highway Code, road safety rules and vehicle regulations.
  • Carry out regular vehicle checks.
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Three years of UK address history (mandatory for enhanced security clearance).
  • Comfortable working in a prison environment alongside inmates.
  • Able to perform manual handling and regular heavy lifting.
  • Hold a valid HGV Class 2 Driving Licence (C), Driver CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph Card.
  • 12 months of recent HGV driving experience.
