A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE:

  • Lead and manage the end-to-end safety strategy across the Heathrow Baggage contract, ensuring alignment with DHL's high standards and operational goals.
  • Ensure full compliance with all relevant safety regulations, including the implementation of the new Ground Handling Regulations as they apply to the contract.
  • Support and embed our Safety Management System (SMS), driving standardisation, consistency, and operational excellence across the site.
  • Promote a Pro-Active Just Safety Culture, championing continuous improvement and elevating safety performance across all teams.
  • Work closely with customers, internal teams, and external stakeholders to build strong, trusted partnerships that enhance safety outcomes.

THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO:

  • NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent qualification in Aviation Safety, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field.
  • Desirable experience in aviation safety, cargo handling, or ground handling operations.
  • Proven ability to lead, influence, and inspire teams at all levels.
  • A genuine passion for driving sustainability within safety practices.
  • Ability to shape and embed a strong safety culture across diverse operational teams.
