We’re now looking for an Operations Manager to join our team.

A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE:

  • Strategically managing all warehouse, distribution and maintenance activities in line with DHL's policies and vision, monitoring and reporting on the effectiveness of all functions, performance and productivity, ensuring safe and cost-effective methods are a priority consideration.
  • Managing and implementing the daily coordination of direct reports, ensuring that all schedules, regulations, records and working practices are up-to-date and in line with company policies and UK legislation, whilst maintaining excellent working practices and health & safety compliance across the business.
  • Continuously reviewing and evaluating warehouse policies, procedures, and systems to ensure that the site is operating at maximum efficiency and optimum level.
  • Indirect management of all areas of the logistics Centre.
  • Active involvement in defining and overseeing KPIs.
  • Initiating and supervising the implementation of appropriate countermeasures to disruptions that have occurred.
  • Planning, together with the Operations Managers, the workflow, the necessary personnel, and technology.

THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO:

  • Have five years experience as a Warehouse Operations Manager within a busy logistics environment managing a team of 60+.
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of supply chain management and legislation.
  • Have strong leadership skills, with the ability to organise and train direct reports.
  • Are computer literate with a practical knowledge of logistics software programs and packages.
  • Are analytical, with excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Hold a recognised qualification in Supply Chain Management or Logistics (preferred).
