Job Type: 7.5T Home Delivery Driver / Driver Trainer - your main role is driving but will be training as and when needed

Shift Pattern: Sunday to Thursday - 5am start with 10hr days

Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)

Location: Southampton

The key responsibilities in this role include:

  • You will be delivering household white goods to customers' homes
  • Installing washing machines and sometimes American Fridge Freezers - Training will be provided
  • Heavy lifting will be required for this role
  • A DHL DDA is an ambassador for safe, efficient and professional driver behaviours, training and compliance.
  • The role works in collaboration with the Transport Management to ensure that the driver teams are trained to DHL standards and consistently maintain high levels of safety and compliance.
  • The role involves the delivery of driver inductions, initial training and re-assessment of both DHL and agency drivers in line with DHL policies
  • Control and ownership of all documentation associated with training
  • Keep all training records and matrix up to date on a daily/weekly basis
  • Maintain compliance reporting systems to target poor performing drivers with coaching and training to maintain standards

  • 7.5T Driver experience - at least 2 years
  • Previous training experience both in classroom and on the road preferably in a transport operation
  • Ability to adjust start and finish shift times and working weekends to meet operational needs
