Shift patterns: Various shifts available: all working 4 on, 4 off on a rolling rota - x3 starting at 4am, x1 starting at 5am, x2 starting at 4pm, x2 starting at 5pm.

Location: East Midlands Gateway - Derby

We are currently recruiting experienced Class 1 (C+E) Drivers to join a busy and professional operation delivering ambient goods to major food retail distribution centres across the UK. As a Class 1 Driver, you will be responsible for delivering palletised loads to well-known food retail distribution centres and other major RDCs.

Responsibilities:

  • Average of 2 drops per shift
  • Driving throughout the UK as part of a nationwide delivery network
  • Transporting ambient goods on pallets
  • Most deliveries are unloaded by the distribution centre; occasionally (approximately 2%) you may be required to assist with unloading
  • Driving in a safe and efficient manner in line with Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations
  • Complying with health and safety standards at all times, ensuring adherence to The Highway Code, road safety rules and vehicle regulations

Qualifications:

  • Hold a valid HGV Class 1 Driving Licence, Driver CPC Qualification and Digital Tachograph Card
  • Minimum 8 months recent Class 1 driving experience
  • Maximum of 6 penalty points on your licence
  • Good understanding of drivers' hours and working time regulations
  • Professional, reliable, and customer-focused attitude
