LGV Cat C (HGV Class 2) Home Delivery Driver – based in Crick.
Pay rate: £42,802 per annum based on a 48‑hour week (overtime at time and a half after 208 hours per month).
Contract type: Permanent (Full‑time).
Shift patterns: week 1 – 4 on / 2 off, week 2 – 4 on / 2 off, week 3 – 5 on / 2 off. Weekend working – start time 06:00.
Location: Daventry (NN6 7GW), just off junction 18 M1.
What does the role entail?
- Work pattern: week 1 – 4 on / 2 off, week 2 – 4 on / 2 off, week 3 – 5 on / 2 off; includes weekend working.
- Home delivery of furniture items with a driver’s mate – average 25 drops per day across the wider Midlands area (≈ 11.25‑hour days).
- Drive safely and efficiently in line with Drivers’ Hours and Working Time Directive regulations.
- Comply with health and safety standards, The Highway Code, road safety rules and vehicle regulations.
What do we need from you?
- Valid HGV Class 2 Driving Licence (C), Driver CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph Card; minimum of 6 months commercial LGV Cat C experience.
- Ideally have home‑delivery experience and excellent customer‑service skills.
- Prepared to carry out manual handling – physical role.
- Live locally to Crick, Northants NN6 7GW.
