We are now recruiting a First Line Manager to join our Coventry operation, playing a key role within a fast‑paced ecommerce fulfilment environment. This is an exciting opportunity for a confident people manager to lead, motivate and develop operational teams, ensuring exceptional service, strong performance and a seamless online customer experience for one of the UK's leading outdoor retailers.
WHAT YOU'LL DO- To directly assist management by reporting on and monitoring the effectiveness of all warehousing activities and performance in your designated area.
- To supervise, implement and coordinate productivity by communicating job expectations to direct line reports, ensuring that all deadlines are safely met within allocated time frames, while always maintaining standards of excellence.
- To track and trace orders using a digital in-house tracking software system, ensuring that records are maintained and kept at optimum level.
- Deliver team member performance reviews (1-2-1's), performance reviews, absence management and development and/or succession planning as appropriate.
- Support and contribute towards briefing activities such as performance management appraisals, comms zone briefs, PD boards and informal / formal conversations.
- Ensure shift is managed in line with Health & Safety legislation and company procedures.
- Report and investigate incidents within the workplace.
