We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team and shape our future. This role focuses on selling contract logistics and transport solutions for the Transport business function.
What you’ll do:
- Be part of a brilliant team that helps customers grow their businesses and supports your own career development.
- Develop and leverage constructive relationships within target accounts in the Transport business function to gain access to key decision makers and establish a network.
- Continuously review business potential and identify sales opportunities.
- Proactively identify opportunities within target accounts, respond to incoming RFQs, map and assess stakeholders within assigned target accounts.
- Conduct internal and external research to identify customer’s supply chain requirements and business objectives.
- Forge strong relationships with new and existing customers to maintain our "Customer for Life" ethos and build a pipeline of new opportunities.
- Collaborate with developers and other teams to learn how to solve new problems and create exciting solutions.
What you’ll bring:
- Proven experience of Transport Solutions sales and/or selling 3PL contract logistics solutions.
- Understanding of transport networks and customer-facing experience in a transport operations environment; transport commercial exposure is beneficial.
- Demonstrable drive to win new business within a complex large organisation with understanding of bid and tender sales lifecycles.
- Previous sales experience within transport logistics and supply chain delivering medium to large size deals and multiple opportunities is desirable.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Results-oriented with ability to deliver sales targets and drive business growth.
- Strategic mindset and passion for building long-term customer partnerships.
- High attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines.
