DHL, an award‑winning leading supply chain business, is seeking an experienced Warehouse Operative in Warrington (WA4 4SN). The role is permanent, full‑time with a rotational day shift pattern (06:00‑14:00 or 10:00‑18:00). You will be on an out‑of‑hours "on call rota" one week in every four, receiving an extra £157.50 for each on‑call week plus additional payments if called out to site. The pay rate is £26,649.63 (£24,869.63 basic + £1,780 shift allowance) with the potential to earn an annual bonus of £1,300.
Responsibilities:
- Manually handle, distribute, and monitor bulk materials within the warehouse environment.
- Pick and pack specified items from storage and prepare them for shipment.
- Maintain excellent health and safety practices at all times.
Requirements:
- Previous practical experience as a Warehouse Operative in a logistics environment.
- Familiarity with all Manual Handling Procedures.
- Counterbalance FLT licence is essential.
- Reach FLT experience is advantageous but not essential.
- Experience preparing and distributing volume orders.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage your own workload.
- Experience with Manual Handling Equipment (MHE).
- Basic computer skills.
- Own reliable transport.
- Willingness to comply with a drug & alcohol screening as part of the recruitment process.
