GB Mail is a well-established mailing house based in Aylesbury, providing comprehensive mailing, storage, fulfilment and print services. Due to continued growth, we are seeking a skilled and reliable Mailing Machine Operator to join our busy production team.
In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for the setup, operation, and smooth running of a range of mailing machines, including polywrapping, paper, and envelope enclosing lines. You will work to high quality standards, follow established processes, and actively contribute to improving production efficiency and output quality.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in setting and operating polywrapping and envelope inserting machines is preferred
- Experience handling Royal Mail or Downstream Access sortation
- A flexible and versatile approach to work
- Highly productive with a strong attention to detail and process improvement
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively to tight deadlines
- A positive, reliable attitude with a strong work ethic
Key Responsibilities:
- Setting up and operating polywrapping and envelope inserting machines, carrying out all associated quality control checks
- Working to the Operations Manager instructions while also using initiative within agreed company processes
- Ensuring all work is completed accurately and within agreed deadlines
- Clearing machines and work areas upon job completion and ensuring all paperwork is completed correctly
- Developing knowledge across all areas of Production to improve efficiency and flexibility
- Collaborating with other departments to meet production priorities and deadlines
- Maintaining clean and organised work areas in line with Quality, Health & Safety, and Environmental standards
- Upholding quality standards at all times and continuously identifying opportunities for process improvement
