Uniserve is looking for a dependable and experienced Class 1 Night Driver to join our growing transport team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for the safe and timely delivery and collection of goods during night‑time operations. This position plays an important part in keeping our logistics network running smoothly overnight.
Salary: £39,299 annual
Shift pattern: Rolling rota of 4 on, 4 off
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a Class 1 (C+E) vehicle to complete night trunking, collections, and deliveries
- Carry out pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle checks in line with company and DVSA standards
- Ensure all loads are secured correctly and meet safety requirements
- Follow tachograph rules, Working Time Directive regulations, and road transport legislation
- Complete delivery and collection paperwork accurately
- Communicate clearly with the night transport office and planners
- Maintain a professional approach and represent the company positively
- Keep the vehicle clean, tidy, and roadworthy
Requirements:
- Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence
- Driver CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous experience in night trunking or general haulage (preferred)
- Strong understanding of UK road transport legislation
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Reliable, safety‑focused, and attentive to detail
