In this role, you will:
The Talent Acquisition Partner is responsible for overseeing talent acquisition, working with the People Business Partner, senior stakeholders and the wider People team in determining resourcing needs, developing recruitment strategies, and leading employer branding initiatives. In addition, the Talent Acquisition Partner supports with talent retention initiatives including overseeing graduate and apprenticeship recruitment and development. Provide input to ensure that teams consist of diverse, qualified individuals. *This role is a 12-month FTC.
Key areas of responsibility:
Talent Framework, Policy and Process
- Designing and implementing talent acquisition and management policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Create a Talent Acquisition framework outlining GB Bank’s approach to talent acquisition including the ability to scale quickly when required
- Establish, monitor and report key performance indicators (KPIs) for Talent Acquisition and Management
Talent Acquisition
- Develop external talent pools of potential candidates, key skills and experience in the market establishing long-term relationships with candidates
- Work with the People Business Partner and wider People team in developing internal talent pools and plans succession plans and other interventions
- Use benchmarking and other methodologies in planning and sourcing candidates
- Researching and mapping essential hard to attract and retain individuals, and leading-edge future workforce skills through activities such as workforce planning, targeted resourcing or grow your own programmes
- Create, join and attend internal and external networks and communities to access the latest thinking and top talent in the market
- Ensure all talent acquisition activities drive diversity and equality in applications and appointments
- Research, plan and manager external events such as job fairs which have the greatest impact and outcomes for investment
- Represent the organization at internal and external events to network and build contacts with potential candidate populations.
- Organise assessment tests, phone screenings, and in-person interviews.
- Prepare position-specific job descriptions and bespoke interview questions.
- Evaluation of all recruitment activities and methods including gathering feedback from candidates in making continuous improvements across all parts of the process
Third Party Supplier Management
- Build a flexible talent acquisition model ensuring the effective sourcing and contracting with any suppliers in securing talent
- Onboard and manage the performance of all third-party suppliers with regards to talent acquisition
- Create MI dashboards and reports showing the performance of all suppliers
Employer Brand
- Plan, organise and carry out employer branding activities
- Oversight of LinkedIn and other social media content which gives exposure to the bank, attracts candidates and engages current team members in the promotion of working at GB Bank
- Encourage the wider GB Bank team to act as brand ambassadors
- Collaborate with Marketing in producing external communications such as employer brand campaigns across a range media
Talent Management
- Examine the organisation\’s development requirements and future employment needs.
- Collaborate with the People Business Partner and wider People team in the development of a TM framework for the organisation
- Oversee apprenticeships and graduates with a focus on improved expenditure of the levy or any other funding/budget assigned to the development
- Support the wider People team in effective succession planning
A bit about you – You are/have:
- Proven experience in a standalone talent acquisition role, ideally within a start-up or high-growth environment
- Strong background in designing and implementing recruitment processes, policies, and frameworks from scratch
- Advanced user of Teamtailor is a must
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, including experience reporting into or partnering with C-suite
- Demonstrated ability to scale recruitment quickly and effectively
- Experience building and managing external talent pools and succession planning
- Skilled in using data and KPIs to evaluate and improve recruitment performance
- Confident managing third-party suppliers and recruitment budgets
- Strong understanding of employer branding and candidate attraction strategies
- Committed to inclusive hiring practices and improving candidate experience
