Key Responsibilities
- Providing prudential regulatory oversight, challenge and advice in line with regulatory best practice on items such as interest rate risk in the banking book, market risk, liquidity risk, capital risk and model risk management.
- Developing relationships within the business and assisting in the shaping and raising the profile of Risk, promoting best practice on prudential risk and continuous improvement.
- Supporting the review and challenge of key regulatory documents such as ICAAP, ILAAP, Recovery Plan and Solvent Exit Analysis.
- Assisting the Prudential Risk Senior Manager in the delivery of 2LOD risk reporting.
- Maintaining an up-to-date understanding of applicable prudential regulations and working with 1st line to evolve risk‑management approaches and information to support compliance.
- Co‑ordinating with colleagues across the Bank to deliver a consistent and robust approach to regulatory changes.
- Assisting the Risk Team in implementing standards and policies in line with the Group’s Risk Management Framework.
- Monitoring key business activities and emerging risks to identify areas where further second line oversight may be required.
- Attending risk and governance committees as required.
- Maintaining accurate, timely records in relevant GRC systems.
- Executing other activities delegated by the Prudential Risk Senior Manager.

- Experience delivering prudential regulatory advice across applicable regulations.
- Detailed knowledge of regulatory requirements and the ability to interpret implications for the bank.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, providing informed opinions.

- Strong knowledge of UK regulatory frameworks (FCA, PRA, Basel III) and best practices in governance and reporting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying complex concepts to non‑specialist stakeholders.
- Detail‑oriented with the capacity to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.
- Relevant experience within a financial‑services business and second‑line function; experience in Internal Audit also considered.
- Strong planning, organisation, and prioritisation skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Effective presentation and stakeholder‑management skills.
- High energy, enthusiasm, and a can‑do mindset.
- Clear communication and exceptional problem‑solving abilities.
