In this role, you will:

Business Development Managers drives service and revenue through lending, working with intermediaries and directly with clients and customers. The Business Development team originate new business enquiries, across a wide range of lending including bridging, property and portfolio Buy-to Let, asset backed and specialist lending ensuring GB Bank is a lender of choice.

Key areas of responsibility:

  • Proactive origination of new specialist property lending enquiries generating solid leads to meet agreed targets
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships across the Lending areas. Raising the profile and awareness of GB Bank in the markets through effective and targeted networking, developing existing networks of Brokers and Introducers, as well as other key business relationships.
  • Handle inbound calls from intermediaries, brokers and potential clients and customers
  • Collate management information which tracks team progress, lending pipelines, completions and any other data points which will continue to drive productivity and lending
  • Delivering fantastic service to broker and Introducer networks and ensuring that GB Bank are at the forefront of their thoughts for their client’s future lending needs
  • The provision of exceptional levels of customer service to attract new customers and evidenced by repeat business and positive feedback
  • Manage and deliver Active Campaigns in line with the Bank’s lending priorities and attend key events and exhibitions as a representative of GB Bank
  • Supporting the Relationship Management team in originating and managing new enquiries
  • Developing and maintaining excellent customer and stakeholder relationships
  • Create and maintain good customer outcomes ensuring all lending meets regulatory standards and requirements
  • Responsibility for building and maintaining new relationships with key professionals including key brokers and maintain regular contact with solicitors and valuers where required
  • Help create process and structure within the function as we continue to grow

A bit about you

Key Skills and experience:

  • A proven property Business Development Manager within a similar organisation, and be consistently meeting your targets with a desire to exceed expectations
  • Familiar with BTL lending, particularly larger ticket loans which may include the provision of large portfolio loans and loans secured on student accommodation, including complex loan structures
  • Strong business development skills with broad market knowledge and presence and with excellent communication skills;
  • An existing network of Brokers and Introducers who can support you and enable your own success at GB Bank
  • Be able to operate with the Banks\' lending guidelines in mind, and have a good knowledge of the end-to-end lending process, with a particular focus on Buy to Let and Bridging finance
  • Knowledge of risk management, core lending and financial analysis skills;
  • Excited to hit the ground running and to make an instant positive impact on the Bank and the communities that we operate in
