The predicted salary is between 52000 - 58000 £ per year.

Salary: £65,000-£70,000 + £7,900 Car Allowance

Location: Home-based with travel required within the UK

Contract: Full time (37.5 hours per week)

We are seeking a dynamic Head of Region to lead the implementation of our regional strategy, supporting the engineering construction industry through skills development, training initiatives, and workforce planning. This role is responsible for engaging with employers, training providers, and industry stakeholders to address current and future skills needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead regional engagement activities and develop regional plans with key stakeholders, including asset owners, trade associations, and local authorities.
  • Foster high-value partnerships with industry stakeholders to enhance skills and workforce outcomes.
  • Ensure the region’s skills strategies align with emerging industry needs, including energy transition and net-zero goals.
  • Manage regional projects, including bids for skills hubs and leveraging funding for industry-specific training initiatives.
  • Analyse regional trends, such as market shifts, technology changes, and policy developments, to inform operational plans.
  • Collaborate with other regional leaders to align strategies and share best practices.
  • Oversee regional budget management, performance metrics, and support the executive team in strategic decision-making.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a strategic or relationship management role.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, influencing, and communication skills.
  • Proven leadership capabilities, with experience representing organizations to senior stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with the energy and process industries, including decarbonisation technologies.
  • Understanding of government policy and experience engaging with decision-makers.
  • Strong political awareness and the ability to apply insights to regional and industry development.
  • Self-motivated, able to prioritize and work across teams with minimal direction.
  • Experience in managing non-technical projects and a proven track record of managing stakeholder relationships.
  • Ability to anticipate industry trends, risks, and opportunities and respond agilely to challenges.
