6-month contract opportunity for an experienced Embedded Engineer to help deliver a next-generation IoT hub platform focused on Zigbee connectivity, constrained MCU architectures, and cloud-connected smart home devices.
You’ll work on a greenfield Hub Lite project, building embedded firmware from PoC through to production-ready software, integrating Zigbee stacks, optimising low-memory systems, and enabling secure OTA and cloud communication.
Key experience required:
- Strong Embedded C/C++
- RTOS and constrained embedded systems
- Zigbee / BLE / Wi-Fi / 802.15.4
- ESP-IDF / Espressif SDK
- Silicon Labs MG2x Zigbee development
- Secure boot, provisioning, OTA updates
- MQTT and AWS IoT Core integration
- Memory and flash optimisation on MCUs
- Experience delivering production IoT devices
- Experience with Matter, Thread or smart energy networks is highly desirable.
Hybrid working with 1 day onsite in Windsor. Strong day rate available for the right engineer. Initial 6-month engagement with extension potential.
