We’re seeking a Power Systems Application Engineer to support the development and delivery of advanced Power Systems Application software for critical energy networks across Europe and the UK. This is working for a leading engineering consultancy for large scale projects all across Europe.
What you’ll do:
- Design, code, test and integrate EMS applications for transmission and control systems.
- Work closely with utilities and system operators to define and refine functional specifications.
- Ensure smooth delivery through robust testing, tuning and performance optimisation.
- Support system improvements and contribute to continuous reliability and compliance initiatives.
- Participate in solution design, architecture reviews and ongoing enhancement of application frameworks.
What you’ll bring:
- Proven experience in electric transmission EMS / SCADA implementation within utility or CNI environments.
- Hands-on experience with GE PowerOn or equivalent systems such as Siemens, OSI, ABB or Schneider.
- Strong understanding of SCADA, DMS and TMS applications, including data flow and control logic.
- Experience in data modelling and integration within power system networks.
- Solid understanding of software development practices, version control, and system integration principles.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across multi-disciplinary teams.
