Sales Representative – Dairy Solutions (South West)
About the Role
Our client is looking are known for thier efficient and sustainable milk production for animal husbandry, who have a comprehensive portfolio including automated milking and feeding systems, conventional milking solutions, and digital herd management in Devon and Cornwall.
We are seeking a driven and customer-focused Sales Representative to promote and sell our Dairy Support Solutions across the South West region (Devon & Cornwall).
Responsibilities
- Driving Sales & Profitability: Achieve sales growth and enhance profitability by promoting our Dairy Support Solutions portfolio across the designated territory. Identify and capitalize on opportunities for upselling and cross-selling to maximize revenue generation.
- Building Customer Relationships: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships within the farming community. Understand individual customer needs and provide tailored solutions, including upgrades for calf feeding and herd management systems, VoD conversions/installations, footbaths, dynamic parlour testing, automated and conventional milking systems, slurry equipment, and related services.
- Campaign Management: Support the launch and execution of sales campaigns for Dairy Support Solutions at the dealership level across the South West. Develop targeted and impactful campaigns to effectively reach the customer base.
- Enhancing Customer Loyalty: Prioritize customer satisfaction and loyalty through consistent engagement and proactive communication. Participate in local and national farming events to build relationships and maintain brand visibility.
- Sales Administration & Logistics: Prepare sales quotations and establish installation timelines. Create and order Bills of Materials for customer solutions. Collaborate effectively with internal teams to ensure seamless product and service delivery.
- Service & Maintenance Contracts: Generate, manage, and follow up on service maintenance contracts to ensure ongoing customer support and satisfaction.
- Customer Feedback & Continuous Improvement: Provide exceptional customer service and actively collect post-installation feedback to drive continuous improvement and enhance customer satisfaction.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Ideally, a degree or relevant qualification in Dairy Technology, Agricultural Engineering, or Agricultural Management. GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English are essential.
- Background: A strong background in agriculture is essential.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). Familiarity with agricultural technology and tools is an advantage.
- Experience:Commercially driven with a genuine interest in agriculture and a strong customer focus.
- 3+ years of experience in sales or after-sales service (preferred).
- Knowledge of dairy farm management is desirable.
- Personal Attributes:Willingness to travel within the South West region.
- A dynamic team player with excellent communication, adaptability, and decision-making skills.
- Passionate about animal welfare, livestock farming, agricultural economics, and farm design.
- Driving License: Must hold a valid Category B driving license.
