Greenfield opportunity for a hands-on Data Engineer to build and scale QA/testing capability across complex ETL pipelines in a modern data environment. You’ll own the automation strategy, improve data reliability, and work closely with engineering teams delivering business-critical reporting and API outputs.
What you’ll be doing:
- Building scalable ETL/data validation frameworks using Python & Pytest
- Writing advanced SQL checks for reconciliation, integrity & transformation testing
- Validating Excel/XML outputs using Pandas, OpenPyXL, lxml & xmlschema
- Automating API testing with Postman & Newman
- Integrating testing into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
- Working within Databricks and modern cloud-based data environments
- Driving QA standards, mentoring others & improving engineering quality
What’s needed:
- Strong ETL / ELT testing experience
- Advanced SQL & Python automation skills
- Experience across APIs, XML, Excel & data quality validation
