We’re looking for a seasoned Mainframe Middleware Infrastructure Engineer with deep expertise across CICS Liberty, z/OS and modern Java runtime environments. This is a hands-on infrastructure engineering role focused on stability, scalability, security and modernisation within enterprise banking environments.
Key experience required:
- Strong CICS Systems Engineering background across z/OS
- CICS Liberty / IBM WebSphere Liberty runtime configuration and support
- JVM tuning, diagnostics and performance optimisation on z/OS
- RACF, TLS, SAF integration and enterprise security controls
- REST/API enablement and modern integration patterns
- Operational monitoring, logging, dumps, traces and SMF analysis
- Experience managing JVM server lifecycle within CICS
- CI/CD awareness and automated deployment practices
- High availability, DR planning and capacity management
