We are seeking a skilled and experienced Dynatrace Consultant / Application Performance Management (APM) Specialist to join our team with limited travel to Cambridge. The ideal candidate will be responsible for end-to-end implementation, customization, and integration of Dynatrace in complex enterprise environments, ensuring optimal application performance and proactive monitoring solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate strong programming knowledge across multiple languages including Java, .NET, Node.js, PHP, C, C++, HTML.
- Apply working knowledge of middleware technologies such as WebLogic and WebSphere.
- Understand and address application performance issues in complex, multi-tiered architectures.
- Gather requirements and perform target environment analysis from an APM perspective.
- Possess in-depth understanding of the Dynatrace license model and its application.
- Execute hands-on implementation and deployment of Dynatrace across customer environments.
- Configure and customize Dynatrace as per organizational and project-specific requirements.
- Lead and manage complete Dynatrace deployment lifecycles in complex customer settings.
- Design and create custom alerts, configurations, and ensure end-to-end monitoring coverage.
- Analyze and triage performance issues using collected Dynatrace metrics and data.
- Integrate Dynatrace with various ITSM, CI/CD, and QA/performance testing tools.
- Build and deliver custom dashboards and visualizations tailored to customer use cases.
- Track and report APM KPIs, offering insight and recommendations.
- Conduct proof of concept (PoC) or proof of value (PoV) presentations to demonstrate tool capabilities and benefits.
- Maintain detailed documentation for resolved issues, workflows, and Dynatrace configurations.
- Share knowledge and mentor peers, develop Dynatrace usage guidelines and best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in APM tools with at least 3 years of hands-on expertise in Dynatrace.
- Strong experience in enterprise environments with performance monitoring and optimization.
- Familiarity with DevOps tools, CI/CD pipelines, and automation frameworks.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and client-facing skills.
Nice to Have:
- Dynatrace Professional / Associate Certification.
- Experience with cloud-native environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Knowledge of microservices monitoring, Kubernetes, and container-based environments.
